Many up coming opportunities and ways to support this amazing family

Each year we sponsor and support a Sparrow Family. The past 2 years, with 2014 being our 3rd we have supported the Beaverton High School Sparrow. This is a great program where the kids from Beaverton High jump in and help support a local family. We also try to do additional items with our family and build lasting relationships and support as amazing families in our community. We have maintained a relationship with several sparrow families over the years and they are always game to jump in and support our different programs! It is just an amazing program all around. This year our Sparrow Family is another amazing family. This family has faced many challenges over the past few years as both Mom and Daughter fight cancer. There are resources below so you can learn more about this amazing family. We hope to have many of you jump in and help this family in our community over the following months. It is not only an opportunity to support them with the daily grind items but also provide hope and comfort as their community jumps up and surrounds them! Thank you in advance and we can’t wait to see what we can do as a community for this family!

Portland Holiday Giving Program - Lutheran Community Services NW
Adopt a Family this Christmas!

Looking for another way to help this Christmas? Adopt a refugee family! Through Lutheran Community Services, you can purchase, wrap, and deliver gifts for a

refugee family that has relocated to the Portland area and is in need of household items, clothes and toys. You’ll be matched with a family and provided information regarding the family members’ names, genders, sizes and most needed or desired items.

Columbia Sportswear Shopping Trip with Beaverton Schools
With the support of 6 sponsor’s we were able to take 6 children from the Beaverton School district shopping at Columbia Sportswear and get them all jackets, pants, shirts, shoes, socks, gloves and hats. It was an amazing day and the kids were awesome!



Daxton: Our Sparrow Kid!!
Daxton is Beaverton High School’s Sparrow. We are sponsoring the effort which will help Daxton’s parents pay off their van which carries Daxton and his wheel chair. They are a very grateful family and Daxton is a great kid. Check out his story in the below video.















Support of Youth ReVision
Video of our latest support effort. We helped Youth ReVision sort shoes as well as provided over 500 paris of socks to go along with the new shoes! On top of socks we were also able to provide gloves, hats and scarfs due to your amazing donations over the past few months. Thanks so much!!!
